Strategic Hands-On Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift - AZ
About The Position
Zelis is growing—and we’re looking for a hands-on leader to join our state-of-the-art Production Facility in Tempe, AZ. This facility processes and mails over 1.4 million packages daily for more than 500 clients, making it a critical hub in our mission to transform healthcare communications. As a Production Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of production associates, ensuring smooth operations, high productivity, and a positive work environment. This is a lead-from-the-floor role—you’ll be actively engaged with your team, driving performance and fostering collaboration. Available Shift: 2nd shift - 2 pm - 10 pm
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years in a production environment
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Basic computer skills; USPS mail prep knowledge preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production workload to meet USPS mail pick-up times and client SLAs
- Lead team meetings, set goals, and coach associates for success
- Monitor performance using metrics and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain balance across quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, vendors, and clients
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service providers
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, HIPAA, and safety standards
- Support new hire training and orientation
- Operate production equipment when needed
