Your Day-to-Day: Serve as a role model for the shift crew, ensuring adherence to safety standards, housekeeping protocols, and proper asset care through maintenance and cleaning activities. Maintain all assets within the assigned area, ensuring machinery remains in good working condition by escalating issues to the appropriate line structure. Contribute to the organization of Value Stream activities to meet volume objectives cost-effectively, with a strong focus on waste reduction. Support synergies across different shifts to align with plans and standards. Assist the crew in identifying inefficiencies, measuring them, driving action plans, and implementing corrective actions using OPEN+ tools. Coach the BU crew towards continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and quality, ensuring deviations or shortfalls are promptly addressed through corrective actions. Organize, supervise, and coach the work of direct and indirect reports as defined by the line structure. Make proposals to management and implement agreed-upon organizational and headcount strategies through effective hiring, assessment, training, and development plans.

Requirements

  • Technical School or graduate engineering degree with experience in continuous improvement roles (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar).
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations with direct/indirect experience in production floor crew management
  • Effective coaching and communication skills.
  • High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results.
  • Ability to work with data, information, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving tools
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts rotating, including nights and weekends
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate technical data to support recommendations.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaboration, teamwork, customer orientation, quick learning, and attention to detail.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
