About The Position

The Production Supervisor-2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs 3:30pm-2:00am) is responsible for leading, managing and maintaining a section of the business as related to customer product line and internal manufacturing processes to include organizing work assignments, checking procedures and equipment to ensure conformance to standardized work, engineering instructions and compliance with established maintenance, QS-9000/TS16949 and housekeeping standards, meeting production schedules, optimizing plant resources. Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor-2nd Shift: Assist subordinates in interpretation of work instructions and engineering changes. May recommend changes in methods, standards and tooling for increased productivity and cost reductions. Ensures that employees are properly trained for their work assignments and assists them in solving unusual problems encountered in their work. Investigates work problems, taking the necessary action to eliminate production delays, and recommends new or modified methods, procedures or equipment to facilitate operations. Maintains production records, process related paperwork and prepares reports for superior as required. Explains company policies and regulations to subordinates, maintaining professional and effective personnel relationships. Maintains positive communications with subordinates and among other departments to ensure consistent information. Accepts assignments and other responsibilities as required to support team objectives. Required to adhere to applicable QS9000/TS 16949 requirements. Required to adhere to applicable ISO 14001 requirements. Required to adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety Regulations. May be required to work overtime May be required to stand for long periods of time. Authorized to stop production for any quality, safety or equipment issue. Authorized to suspend but not terminate employees involved in work rule or other altercations until investigation is complete. Authorized to recommend to Human Resources disciplinary actions, training refocus, or other matters related to his/her personnel. Authorized to undertake investigations into disciplinary, safety, quality, production and other matters for determination of root cause, for the purpose of making recommendations to Management. This section is not inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
