About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Production Supervisor – 3 rd Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In this role, you will manage the timely manufacturing of quality products through effective utilization of labor and machine capacity. In this role you will also be responsible for managing direct reports, mentoring, discipline, performance monitoring/appraisals, embrace and influence your team around continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Safety-First approach. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (9:30pm – 6:00am), hours may vary depending on business needs. We Offer You! Interview candidates and assist with new hire training. Complete performance evaluations annually. Manage conflict, create consistency within your department, and provide direction to your work centers daily. Communicate and cooperate with other leadership regarding production, material flow, maintenance, etc. Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing, Inventory, Continuous Improvement, and ERP systems. Monitor priority dispatch and customer service requirements Identify, analyze, and act to correct bottlenecks, product defect rates, safety hazards, and maintenance problems Counsel, motivate, and instruct departmental personnel in machine operation and concerns through daily interaction Proactively present ideas and information concisely and clearly in both oral and written form Work effectively with peers and all levels of management to achieve divisional objectives and promote teamwork Establish base data for department budgets, forecast, manage assets, and control expenses per budgetary guidelines Maintain documentation to support all department activities Operate various types of production equipment Strong leadership and communication skills, attention to detail, and results oriented. Your Credentials: 5-7 years of manufacturing and at least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience Bachelor’s degree preferred The salary range for the position is $90K to $108K, includes 20% shift differential), with bonus potential. Requirements

  • 5-7 years of manufacturing and at least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
