We are the largest single locality of welded wire manufacturer in the southern United States of America. Job Purpose: The maintenance tech position is responsible for supporting the maintenance teams in the completion of all troubleshooting, repairs, retrofitting processes in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. The Supervisor's responsibilities range from daily production activities, employee scheduling, overall sanitation and quality, maintaining performance standards, to working with Human Resource Dept. to procure temporary labor.

Requirements

  • 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication & conflict resolution skills
  • Leadership Training Skills
  • Experience with Global Shop, or similar ERP system
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with OEE Reports
  • Must know the 5'S Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating material fabrication.
  • Regularly lift, carry, pull and push 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Regularly squat, stoop, bend at waist, turn at waist to complete function above.
  • Occasional climbing.
  • Able to wear required PPE such as but not limited to: steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses and hard-hat.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees throughout the organization
  • Create and utilize the Daily Production Schedule to plan and lead daily activities of manufacturing team, organize any request any additional temporary employees with human resources
  • Schedule employees appropriately to complete all manufacturing operations daily
  • Ensure all production sanitation tasks are complete and all safety guidelines are followed
  • Ability to demonstrate clear verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible for employees adhering to all OSHA guidelines and regulations
  • Oversee all daily operations to ensure employees are performing all duties efficiently, safely, and within all company standards
  • Responsible for employee training and evaluations, recommendations for hiring, promotions, raises, and disciplinary actions and/or terminations
  • Work closely with all production employees and assist relieving employees for breaks if necessary
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company policies
  • Provide continuous improvement feedback and perform annual reviews
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; identify issues in efficiency and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment by requesting repairs as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
