About The Position

The Supervisor will be responsible for leading team members and line leads within a meat manufacturing environment, with direct oversight of raw production operations. This role ensures optimal operational performance while maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards and fostering a highly engaged workforce. The Production Supervisor is expected to drive results through area-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead in a manner that supports Ruprecht’s culture and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Meat Science, Animal Science, or related field is preferred.
  • Must be HACCP Certified and have demonstrable knowledge of Food Safety.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the food industry, preferably in cooked & RTE operations.
  • Must be flexible with schedule.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point.
  • Analytical skills and communication ability acquired through working.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, USDA regulations, GMPs, Quality Assurance, and Food Microbiology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • English speaking is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Meat Science, Animal Science, or related field.
  • Trained in SQF and PCQI.
  • Spanish is a Plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, display knowledge and supervise the execution of FSQA programs including, but not limited to SQF systems, HACCP, sanitation, pest control, good manufacturing practices, foreign material control, customer complaint & deviation investigation process, traceability, internal audit program, training, food defense, and security to comply with all company, USDA/FDA regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate implementation and execution of company quality, food safety, and sanitation systems along with the cooked & RTE side QA teams.
  • Lead complaint and internal manufacturing investigations on the raw processing side and warehouse, determine root cause, consult and provide corrective actions.
  • Ability to analyze facts or circumstances with the technicians surrounding concerns to determine actions within the limits of standard practices.
  • Ensures QA hold process is communicated, and executed with plant cross-functional teams and that the plant adheres to the procedures.
  • Evaluate and risk assess the product disposition or release in case of quality or food safety deviations.
  • Manage and coordinate execution of pre-operational checks, environmental monitoring program, and executing improvements based on results and reporting for the cooked & RTE departments.
  • Identify process opportunities in the areas of responsibilities and collaborate to provide resolutions.
  • Work closely with QA Director and coordinators for product assessments or evaluations.
  • Support all audits of 2nd and 3rd parties in collaboration with the QA director.
