Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years of related experience
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in related field
3+ years of direct supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Monitor production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
Assist in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements
Assure safety and product quality while improving production procedures
Coordinate workflow with the various departments involved
Report damaged and defective equipment to management
Train other employees in day-to-day procedures
Maintain quality/quantity standards regarding output
Analyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
Plan flow of materials through department according to work orders
Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
Inspect and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
Develop, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
Analyze and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
Maintain time and production records
Assist with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times
Other duties as assigned

The typical salary for this position ranges from $66,000-$105,600 in Virginia.
The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
