About The Position

Kolpak designs, manufactures, and supplies best-in-class commercial walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigeration equipment for the global foodservice market. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the quality and quantity produced in one production department, ensuring the total amount of units are built in accordance with the production plan. This role involves controlling the workflow, checking material availability, and coordinating activities across multiple production departments to achieve safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping goals. You will also participate in the New Products Introduction process. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and is based on-site in Parsons, TN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 1 year’s experience in metal manufacturing (or 5 or more years in metal manufacturing in lieu of education).
  • Strong knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Leadership, presentation and training skills.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk on the production floor, lift 50lbs and wear PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality and quantity produced in one production department.
  • Ensure safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping goals are obtained.
  • Fulfill the total amount of units to be built in accordance with the production plan.
  • Participate in New Products Introduction process.
  • Coordinate production activities, people, processes, and materials to complete production schedules according to process specifications.
  • Direct workers as to handling workflow.
  • Direct multi-functions in manufacturing as well as improvements for one department.
  • Ensure accomplishment of SMS System as well as promoting safe behaviors.
  • Check the availability of materials.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Supervise Team Leads and mentor new supervisors.
  • Participate in corrective action process.
