About The Position

The Production Supervisor role, you will lead and support Fabrication operations to safely manufacture and deliver products for internal and interunit customers, in alignment with engineering design specifications and quality standards, while meeting or exceeding established on-time delivery goals. This role requires clear and effective written and verbal communication and collaboration across all levels of plant personnel. You will serve as a central point of contact for management in regard to production issues in one's functional area. You will evaluate workload requirements and effectively delegate tasks accordingly to ensure proper and adequate manning to support production requirements. You will be responsible for delivering and managing team training initiatives, holding shift tier meetings, cross shift communications, teamwork and operational consistencies. You will be required to create, review, revise department standard work and ensure employees are trained and can demonstrate proficiency; participating in the assessment, selection, training, coaching and development of employees and foster strong employee performance. You will be expected to manage and/or support various MESH, Quality and continuous improvement initiatives and attend meetings in support of those initiatives; participating in/leading Continuous Improvement events and audits (ISO, MESH, OpA, etc.) for the Fabrication department. You will contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by ensuring you and your team comply with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties. You will ensure that production demands are met by your department and that team leaders understand their roles in the upkeep of order fulfillment. You will investigate and solve quality issues and/or serve as a point of contact through which quality issues can be resolved. Ensures that employees know the importance of quality and enforces follow through. Works with quality control team to resolve issues and regularly reviews quality trends in the market. Associate's Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of Three years of experience supporting Manufacturing, Operations or Technical processes. Minimum of One year of leadership experience managing people or project teams. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sumter, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of Three years of experience supporting Manufacturing, Operations or Technical processes
  • Minimum of One year of leadership experience managing people or project teams
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sumter, SC will be considered.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Lean manufacturing / Operational Excellence skills in 5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, etc.
  • Experience in Dynamic Machine Management (DMM), AS400, Vista, Enovia
