About The Position

Price Industries Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor 2nd Shift for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwanee, Georgia. This position will report to the Value Stream Manager, will manage the production activities within their department, and will be responsible for the overall performance of the manufacturing department, including Production Schedule, Delivery performance, Resource planning, allocation and utilization, Quality and Safety Improvement.

College Degree or High School with 5 years of experience
3+ years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high volume, multi-product environment preferably in sheet metal and HVAC
Experience in Lean Manufacturing
Comfortable in a team-oriented environment
Proficient in MS Office

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred

Responsibilities

Improving the Efficiency and Utilization of the Production Department
Quality of the products built and effective resolution of quality issues
Identifying problem root cause and implementing corrective and preventive measures to ensure no repetition
Utilize functional support departments to resolve quality issues
Identify and resolve Safety concerns
Bring multiple product lines together to meet the manufacturing plan for the week.
Ensuring work instructions, procedures and policies are being followed
Motivating department members through involvement, communication and positive reinforcement
Provide employees with feedback through formal and informal Performance Evaluations
Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to and including termination
Dealing with grievance and conflict in a calm, controlled and professional manner
Manpower planning and effective staffing, which includes operators and lead-hands.
Ensuring effective training and cross training
Mentoring and developing lead-hands so they can manage the hour by hour manufacturing operations
Driving continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficient productivity and delivery performance
Driving force behind 5S
Use Lean Manufacturing and other techniques
Ensure daily shop clean up actions are performed effectively and required daily machine preventive maintenance actions are carried out as required
