About The Position

Purpose To lead the safe, efficient and on-time production of quality material that meets customer requirements. Motivate, mentor, train and model behavior in the production team. Areas of Responsibility / Task General Policy Lead team to produce quality product, on-time in accordance with production schedule. Lead/participate in trials and customer qualifications runs to increase business. Audit production, quality and routine preventive maintenance (start-up and shut-down PM’s) to ensure that these activities are completed and documented correctly. Assist with/lead root cause investigations for Internal and Customer Corrective and preventive actions. Ability to make decisions based on facts. Ability to perform all Operator & Mixer essential functions. Ensure all production activities are performed, documented and completed to required standards of safety, completeness accuracy and timeliness. Oversee, guide and participate in shift training of all production employees and new hires. Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures. Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards. Other duties as assigned by the Compounding Plant Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Computer data entry skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Possess problem solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Self-motivator.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck.
  • Must have the ability to read, speak and write in English efficiently.
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.
  • Repeatedly reach with hands and arms.
  • Climb straight incline ladders.
  • Have use of fingers and hands for packaging and writing.
  • Must have color vision.
