About The Position

Production Supervisor Since 1975, Omega Flex has been manufacturing and supplying quality engineered flexible metal hose products that meet demanding industrial, commercial and residential applications. We currently have an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor to join our team in Exton, PA. Position Overview: Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the work of personnel performing a variety of flexible metal tubing machine tool operations.

Requirements

1-3 years of previous experience in a supervisor role
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be proficient with using computers

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing and delegating tasks to about 30-40 production workers
Oversee scheduling employee shifts and staffing of new hires
Plan and direct the assignment of shop orders.
Provide guidance on proper tooling and setup.
Monitor the quantity and quality of production.
Collaborate with Inventory Control, Sales, Maintenance, Engineering and other area Supervisors to assure that equipment is maintained, required materials are available, specifications are adhered to and the flow of work orders are maintained on schedule.
Trouble shoot difficulties and schedule maintenance and repairs, as required.
Requisition tools and fixtures, as required.
Train employees in the proper performance of their work.
Provide safety talks, implement company policies and procedures and ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to.
Check in-process work and completed work.
Make recommendations on improved methods.
Implement changes upon approval, and follow-up to maintain an efficient flow of production in accordance with the day-to-day workload.
Troubleshoot difficulties encountered in machine tool operation as well as assembly of components.
Respond to employees' complaints in a fair, sincere and firm manner.
Provide support to superiors in the administration of the grievance process, systems development and other production-related plans for growth and productivity.
Maintain and prepare a variety of production and time reports.
Supervise operations on corrugating machines, segmenting, extrusion, spooling / testing and shipping.
Set up and operate the equipment, as required in the training of operators or developing of other methods.
Direct, assist and train subordinate employees.
Appraise work performance, make recommendations on new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations.
Discipline, as required, and collaboration with Human Resources on employee relations matters and adherence to safety regulations, and good housekeeping.
Perform other related duties as assigned or associated with responsibility.
