As the 2nd shift Production Supervisor at our Lubrodal plant, you will report to the Operations Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations. This role is integral to ensuring our plant meets its Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Efficiency goals through best practices and effective leadership.
Requirements
- College degree in a technical or business field (Chemistry, Engineering, Operations, etc.) is strongly desired.
- 5+ years’ experience in a batch manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Promotes a harassment-free environment.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships; demonstrates a commitment to teamwork.
- ERP system experience required (SAP preferred).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ISO/TS/IATF standards desired.
- Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 6S experience desired.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Company Safety & Environmental Policies, housekeeping/6S programs, and SOPs/Quality requirements.
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly activities, including scheduling overtime and weekend coverage for Production Leads and Operators.
- Assist in scheduling production orders and ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Act as the main shift contact for batch progress updates across business areas.
- Conduct employee safety, communication, and pre-shift meetings.
- Audit plant processes and correct SAP movements, focusing on completed process orders.
- Work closely with the laboratory to maximize efficiency and resolve issues.
- Oversee basic maintenance of equipment and facilities in collaboration with maintenance teams, process engineers, and the Operations Manager.
- Directly supervise a team of 4-6 employees.
