About The Position

NPR of America, INC is a Tier I automotive supplier of premium pistons where People, Process, Power and Performance are what it's all about! NPR of America is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor for our Bardstown, KY facility. In this role, you will oversee production operations for our uniquely crafted piston rings while leading and supporting the team on shift. The core hours for 3rd shift are 11PM - 7:10AM, Sunday through Thursday. This critical position will report to the Production Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related manufacturing supervisory position
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skill sets
  • Above average computer skills along with premium verbal, written and interpersonal communications
  • Must be able to multi task and stand/walk for long periods
  • Must be able to operate forklift and material handling equipment with safety and efficiency
  • Ability to lead people with respect and achieve results through positive relationships
  • Ability to think independently to trouble-shoot and creatively resolve problems
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing in a Tier I environment including TPS and or TPM is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of ISO certification process is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist management with monitoring manufacturing and inventory control processes, ensuring all products and inventory in process are ran to standard production specifications and to the production schedule.
  • Work closely with maintenance department to determine optimal times for repairs on production equipment.
  • Inspects machines, equipment and facility for conformance with operational standards.
  • Coach, counsel and develop team members
  • Maintain time and attendance by reviewing and approving timecards
  • Review department schedules to ensure adequate staffing is in place,
  • Routinely walk the production floor to inspect forms, assist team member with questions, etc
  • Conduct team meetings at the start of shift and participate in shift exchange meetings
  • Ensure all quality and safety standards are being followed
  • Maintains effective working relationships and communications with all departments
  • Promotes Employee Engagement
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
