About The Position

The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and leads production
from a ZERO EHS impact philosophy. You will oversee the safe, compliant,
efficient, and reliable operation of equipment and processes to produce
products. You will ensure all work is compliant with site and regulatory EHS
requirements. You will provide standard operating procedures for production work
processes and to ensure compliance to procedures through training and skill
development of production employees. You will drive continuous improvement of
all aspects of performance by setting targets, making performance visible,
engaging employees in improvement efforts, and driving root cause problem
solving.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant
• Operational knowledge of ERP; experience with SAP preferred

• Previous supervisory experience desirable
• Union experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance
• Implement and monitor budget plans following a zero-based approach
• Manage the daily achievement of planned production volume
• Manage the production execution and operating processes through high levels of active supervision
• Ensure quality standards are consistently achieved and improved
• Ensure asset care processes and procedures for Production are effectively executed
• Collaborate daily with production coordinators and production engineers to optimize workforce and production performance
• Establish operational best practices to manage cost controls e.g. unplanned production downtime/delays and employee overtime
• Assess and evaluate adherence to standard work models and processes
• Follows leader standard work processes per manufacturing playbooks
• Deliver training to Production Operators and monitor performance
• Monitor, analyze and share KPI progress towards department performance goals
• Set clear and concise performance goals aligned with the planning, performance management cycle (PPMC) for the team and each team member
• Effective at performance coaching and guiding team to goal accomplishment
• Manage and conduct daily duties observing ISO 9001 programs and standards
