The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, quality control, safety, and preventative maintenance within one or more cost centers. This role interfaces with Materials Management, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and HR functions. The Production Supervisor ensures teamwork and effective communication within and between departments and is accountable for departmental performance, delivering a quality product at the lowest operating cost with on-time delivery. Essential Job Functions Drive departmental manufacturing activities and quality improvement processes. Maintain daily responsibility for manufacturing, scheduling, quality control, safety, and preventative maintenance within assigned cost centers. Provide supervision and direction to all leads ensuring productivity. Resolve problems relating to materials, operations, quality, and maintenance that may result in production delays. Actively evaluate performance against goals and take corrective action as necessary. Ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with policies and procedures and in support of plant registration to ISO-9001. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication with associates. Communicate plant policies and procedures and ensure adherence while maintaining associate morale. Make recommendations for changes in staffing as necessary to meet demands of workload. Enforce and maintain safety policies and procedures to comply with laws and regulations and minimize accidents and injuries; assist with company safety programs. Promote continuous improvement and associate engagement. Ensure all associates are properly trained and coordinate departmental cross training requirements and opportunities. Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
