About The Position

Support FXI Santa Teresa, NM in the following:   Lead and supervise daily production operations in an automotive manufacturing environment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of manufacturing processes. The Production Supervisor is responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people by effectively managing personnel, materials, and processes. This role ensures compliance with automotive quality systems, customer-specific requirements, and internal standards while promoting continuous improvement and strong cross-functional collaboration to meet production targets and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Will consider Associate’s or High school diploma with equivalent experience as Supervisor.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production and process-related issues.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in PC-based applications relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet or exceed Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable safety, environmental, and 5S’ housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain accountability for departmental safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency metrics.
  • Plan, schedule, assign, and monitor work activities based on production priorities and workforce availability.
  • Analyze manufacturing requirements and prepare production schedules to meet operational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional and interdepartmental teams to resolve production, quality, and process issues.
  • Review work orders, product specifications, and technical documentation to determine operational requirements.
  • Request tools, equipment, and materials necessary to meet production objectives.
  • Inspect products for defects using established quality standards to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Identify, communicate, and take corrective action on non-conforming products, including stopping production when necessary to address quality issues.
  • Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes related to product or process nonconformance.
  • Promote environmental awareness and compliance with applicable environmental aspects and impacts.
  • Communicate quality system updates and ensure ongoing system integrity within the department.
  • Drive employee engagement in alignment with the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Lead the selection, training, development, performance evaluation, and discipline of team members.
  • Develop and delegate responsibilities effectively to Production Leads while ensuring compliance with product and quality requirements.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment repairs as required.
  • Perform special projects or additional assignments as requested by management
