About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day terminal operations at the Houston facility to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production activities. This is a hands-on leadership role that supports terminal operations across the tank farm, truck and rail loading and unloading areas, and inventory management processes. The Production Supervisor plays a key role in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, addressing safety and environmental concerns, and collaborating with terminal management on operational and employee-related matters to support reliable, cost-effective terminal performance.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent diploma.
  • Satisfactorily obtain or already possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
  • Satisfactorily obtain or already possess a Stationary Level III Boiler License.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic knowledge in MS Office and an aptitude for earning new programs.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills (including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Ability to accept supervision/direction and work effectively and cooperatively with other people.
  • Ability to adapt to changing operating conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work activities safely to meet commitments related to terminal operations.
  • Assure compliance with all operating procedures, operating requirements, and safe work practices by anyone who comes into the facility.
  • Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Work closely with and take direction from the Production Specialist.
  • Perform activities in the tank farm, truck loading/unloading rack and rail loading/unloading area relating to gauging tanks, lining-up tanks, and performing intra-terminal product movements.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation.
  • Direct and supervise the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) workforce.
  • Assign crew members to daily duties.
  • Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.
  • Consult with Terminal management regarding operational and employee issues.
  • Complete appropriate documentation, paperwork and inputs into our ERP system.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
