About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable Production Supervisor to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft Inc. The mission of the Production Supervisor is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. They are responsible for the safety, quality, and efficiency of the employees in the manufacturing operations of the company. The Production Supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process in leading by example of Elemet Group core values and acting as a liaison between the production floor and office personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in related field preferred
  • 3+ years manufacturing supervision experience
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in metal fabrication, machining, and welding.
  • Ability to monitor technical developments and trends
  • Strong understanding of JobBoss, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, resolve conflict and act as an agent of change
  • High level of interpersonal communication
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
  • Walking and bending periodically
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
  • Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  • Ability to consistently wear personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and hold team accountable to organizations policies and procedures
  • Achieving desired results in safety by demonstrating personal commitment and leading safety processes to sustain a safe work environment.
  • Work with Quality department to ensure product is compliant with customer standards and fulfillment goals

  • Maintain departmental production activities, monitor, and prioritize workflow and schedules
  • Identify, organize, and lead teams to resolve production and product issues
  • Analyze and discuss staffing needs with Operations management and Human Resources
  • Actively participate in interviews and selection of candidates
  • Must be diligent in addressing daily payroll activities including, but not limited to, attendance tracking, timecard approval and managing PTO requests
  • Performance Management of team to include, but not limited to growing team skills and holding team accountable to business needs
  • Provide production information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data
  • Supports organizational direction and initiatives to meet department goals
  • Handle personnel issues with a high level of discretion and professionalism, while maintaining documentation processes and communication with Human Resources
  • Conduct thoughtful and constructive reviews with all direct reports and submit in a timely manner
  • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
  • Lead each day by example of Elemet Group core values and continuously search for new ways to build and maintain a strong and cohesive team
  • Act as a liaison between shop floor and office personnel – establish a high level of communication and trust with entire team
  • Attend L10 department meetings
