Please note this is a rotating shift role at 12 hour shifts, rotating both day and night shift. Shifts are 7AM-7PM and 7PM-7AM. The plant runs seven (7) days a week. The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all of the operations while on shift. In this role, the Production Supervisor will serve as a “manufacturing generalist” for all operating team members focusing on daily management and coordination of safety, health, quality, efficiency, costs, raw material management, people development, people accountability, and performance management for the assigned shift/crew. In this role, you will:

Requirements

  • 5+ years of operational management or production supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of direct leadership experience
  • Operational technical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly employees, including setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and managing performance.
  • Proven experience guiding frontline teams through process changes, including training, communication, on production floor.
  • Experience in leading hourly teams through structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis to eliminate repeat issues and improve reliability.
  • Desire to move upward and relocate within Clorox

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to World Class Manufacturing, Lean, or 6-Sigma is a plus
  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or Food manufacturing experience is also a plus.
  • BS/BA – Technical/Engineering, Operations, or Business is highly desired but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate resources needed to drive operations (safety, quality, production, people development and accountability)
  • Assure follow-up actions are identified and completed
  • Ensure that effective daily managing systems are in place to drive to root cause and process centered interventions.
  • Drive operating results to achieve daily/weekly/monthly/annual operating targets in safety, quality, case output, OEE, costs, and material management.
  • Set and maintain process and workflow direction for the shift and provide direct input into team performance and evaluations.
  • Handle requests and issues that require escalation beyond frontline and team resources.
  • Ensure and nurture a safe working environment.
  • Lead and develop teams to drive daily operations engagement and accountability.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to optimize and build effective work teams.
  • Partner with Plant HR Manager to drive engagement and compliance.
  • Lead sustainability and improvement efforts (centerlines, CILs, abnormality tracking) to maintain and improve operations at world class standards.
  • Utilize leadership teams to develop, implement, and execute tactical strategies to meet operating goals.
  • Responsible for one complete crew in production, with additional direction provided to Process, Distribution, Maintenance, and site security.
  • Direct team is comprised of approximately 20 FTE (full-time employees) and any contingent workers as needed.
