Position Summary: The Production Supervisor will oversee all production activities during the shift, managing a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules, and maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role requires a hands-on leader with expertise in HVAC production, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in HVAC manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a production environment
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components, with experience in assembly, metalworking, or fabrication
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe working environment
Proficient in the use of manufacturing equipment, ERP systems, and other production-related software
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff to meet objectives in a fast-paced environment
Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making skills to address production issues and prevent delays
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Work performed in a warehouse/manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations

Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and managing high-volume production environments

Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of production operators, technicians, and assembly workers, ensuring they are focused and efficient in their roles.
Production Management: Ensure production schedules are met and that all products are manufactured in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and audits of finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards. Address any defects or issues to maintain high levels of product quality.
Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety policies and procedures on the production floor. Ensure that all workers are trained on proper safety protocols and that they adhere to OSHA standards.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address and resolve production issues such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, and delays to minimize downtime and keep production moving smoothly.
Process Improvement: Lead efforts to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and implement best practices in manufacturing. Identify areas for continuous improvement in workflow, equipment, and team performance.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, quality metrics, machine performance, and any operational issues encountered during the shift.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to resolve issues and ensure seamless production processes.
Employee Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to manufacturing standards.
