Our Production Supervisor Opportunity This is a critical role for someone who enjoys leadership, coaching teams, and ensuring that high standards for safety, sanitation, and production performance are met every day. You will help build a positive, engaged workforce and support the operational success of the Belgium plant.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience; 2–3 years of manufacturing or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food production equipment, sanitation processes, and GMP/HACCP standards.
  • Experience reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience calculating proportions, percentages, and basic production metrics.
  • Experience solving practical problems and responding to changing demands in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct production shift employees to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Train and mentor seasonal and full‑time employees on equipment operation, PPE, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Promote a strong safety culture; correct unsafe acts and support progressive corrective action processes.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and management team on employee onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Lead daily sanitation activities to ensure equipment and production areas are clean and ready for the next shift.
  • Develop and maintain sanitation schedules, including shutdown and deep‑clean events.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, chemical handling protocols, and cross‑contamination prevention.
  • Verify sanitation chemical concentrations and maintain proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with HACCP programs and respond to food‑safety concerns in a timely manner.
  • Perform ATP/TPC verification, pre‑operational inspections, and sanitation audits.
  • Complete required allergen and organic transition documentation.
  • Support plant readiness for SQF, HACCP, PCQI, and regulatory audits.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor during off‑season to plan and support maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the development and execution of capital and major maintenance projects.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping for production, sanitation, food safety, and equipment readiness.
  • Uphold all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
