About The Position

The Supervisor will support and guide machine operators in efficiently running their machines. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the supervisor being actively involved in learning and operating machines. Positions open for first and second shifts Monday – Friday with some Saturdays. Training is required on first shift.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food packaging.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and act decisively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly instruct and support machine operators.
• Bilingual Spanish is required.
• Willingness to learn and operate new machinery, with an ability to adapt to changing production needs.
• Ability to manage time effectively balancing supervision, troubleshooting, and learning new equipment.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate various machines used in the production of food packaging products.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to machine operators, ensuring machines are running efficiently and production goals are met.
• Assist operators in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues with machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production flow.
• Train and mentor machine operators on best practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing issues as they arise to ensure smooth operation across the production floor.
• Monitor production quality to ensure products meet all relevant standards and specifications.
• Ensure all production activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.
