Primary Responsibilities: Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow with production summaries by shift. Manages staff by requesting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. Provide guidance and direction to the production floor personnel. Develop and maintain training programs in conjunction with the Production Manager to ensure that all personnel have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and productively. Coordinate daily production floor activities and delegate assignments to production personnel. Communicate clear expectations to production personnel, keep them informed of matters pertaining to their job, and develop personnel growth opportunities. Monitor employee work performance relative to expectations. Ensure material is supplied to the workstations quickly and efficiently. Monitor and enforce safety policies. Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times by educating and directing personnel. Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices. Document and ensure any required corrective measures are addressed and implemented. Ensure equipment and tools are in good working order and available for use when required. Ensure all stations are producing product to the company's quality standards. Continuously evaluate and influence efficiencies in processes and layout along with material workflow for increased throughput and productivity. Monitor and manage schedule with work start, break, and stop times of the production floor personnel. Monitor and enforce cell phone prohibition of the production floor personnel. Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities and management. Implement manufacturing processes and procedures for new products and customers. Accountability: Comply with all company policies and procedures. All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
