About The Position

DirectHire A leading manufacturer in the work truck industry, is searching for an Production Supervisor that will demonstrate leadership and utilize their skills and experience to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can create and implement short-term and long-term processes and procedures. Primary Job Duties: Operate as a manufacturing leader demonstrating metric-based management in areas of PQDCCC for daily improvement rhythm (MDI) – people/quality/delivery/cost/cash/CI Ensures effective employee relations, coaching, and employee development Responsible for driving a culture of safety, accountability, metrics and operational excellence. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data/investigating issues/identifying solutions/and recommending actions Recruits, selects, onboards, trains and mentors’ employees Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results on shift production summaries Enforces and implements company policies Supports Engineering and Quality with improvements to business systems, processes, and products Responsible for owning inventory, supplies, and budget for the department Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions and facilitating communications across cross functional teams Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques Responsible for 6S within your area/business unit

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient MS Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point. etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient with Lean Management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke)
  • Ability to gather and employ data to meet organizational goals in a metric-driven environment
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
