Position type: Exempt Position Overview: First line supervisor of production staff; responsible for employee scheduling and performance issues. Oversees equipment/machinery to ensure proper working order. Manages production output , quality , safety and environmental . This position is on first shift.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with many levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

Prior leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of Six Sigma/Statistics LEAN and 5S a plus.
Experience with Minitab, SAP, Microsoft Office preferred.
Familiarity or interest in powder metallurgy and powder processing.
Experience in manufacturing/production area a plus.

Responsibilities

Communicate job expectations to direct workforce.
Plan, and monitor workforce schedule in order to meet schedule attainment and production goals.
Provide coaching, counseling, and discipline when necessary.
Complete performance reviews with all employees.
Responsible for employee training and maintaining training records.
Ensure employees are following documented procedures.
Develop and maintain departmental procedures.
Review and modify material routes in SAP for accuracy.
Coordinate repair of equipment with maintenance group.
Support new equipment efforts.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of 5S.
Maintain compliance with all environmental and safety standards.
