About The Position

The ideal candidate will supervise the activities in the respective manufacturing department to produce quality parts while maintaining production goals and providing a safe work environment. American Trim is a local family owned and operated business with a 70+ year history in the community. We proudly serve a diverse customer base in the appliance, automotive, trucking and aftermarket industries. American Trim has multiple manufacturing locations and is the industry leader in forming and decorating metal products, working to develop and market breakthrough ideas and product concepts that improve the aesthetics, performance and enjoyment of products that can be found in every business, household, and vehicle system. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Responsibilities

  • Build a flexible, capable workforce by ensuring employees are cross-trained across all pay-grade positions—including performance tasks, quality and process checks, charting, safety procedures, and quantity verification.
  • Maintain strong quality standards by continuously monitoring employee performance and equipment throughout the shift.
  • Support team members in realizing their full potential through active mentoring, timely evaluations, recognition, corrective guidance, and coaching.
  • Promote a safe work environment by upholding strong housekeeping practices, providing proper safety equipment, and ensuring it is used appropriately.
  • Foster fair and equitable treatment of employees by uniformly applying company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain smooth production flow by communicating effectively with previous and next shifts regarding production status, scrap levels, and quality concerns.
  • Assist in resolving workplace issues by encouraging team members to use the open-door policy and guiding them through conflict-resolution steps.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Directly supervises hourly employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
