All this, we do to provide an opportunity for a better future for all of our team members Our Values: Scope of Position: The Production Superintendent is a member of the Plant Leadership team, reporting directly to the Production Manager. The Production Superintendent will work with Production Supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the Plant on a daily basis. The leader will also ensure employee safety, product safety, quality and compliance to plant standards.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years background experience in a packing plant with knowledge of all areas.
Minimum 2 years supervising employees in a food safe environment.
Oversee a team of Supervisors
Strong proficiency with personal computer software with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and multiple applications required.
A through understanding of lean manufacturing principles and leadership applications within a manufacturing environment.
Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
Highly organized
Ability to read production reports
Knowledge of all operations within the plant
Management training
Outstanding communication skills in order to lead, engage and motivate individuals and/or teams.

Nice To Haves

College Degree preferred not required
English/Spanish bilingual desired but not required

Responsibilities

Must have good communication, interpersonal skills and maintain a good working relationship with plant management, plant employees, corporate and USDA/FSIS.
Ensure f ood s afety & q uality as it relates to the p lant .
Responsible for p lant s chedule attainment as it relates to the production and shipment of finished goods.
Monitor and analyze labor to improve efficiency.
Develop Supervisors and Leads for the production team.
The Superintendent will oversee Shipping, Receiving, Production and Injection and Curing on second shift.
