The Production Specialist is mainly responsible for managing the data flow related to and correspondence between Peter Millar and its vendors and interdepartmental communication in a fast paced, high growth environment. Requirements

  • Detail oriented; strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer (especially Microsoft Excel, report building and maintenance), analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to highly entrepreneurial environment and respond to changes quickly

Nice To Haves

  • BA or BS, or equivalent, in business or related field
  • 1-3 years merchandise production experience in wholesale/retail environment

Responsibilities

  • Enter bulk purchase orders in Blue Cherry and e-mail POs and UPCs to appropriate vendor.
  • Ensure prices entered and x-factory dates entered align with responses to Order Inquiries without exception.
  • As required, split purchase order quantities between ship modes.
  • Update and review all data in Blue Cherry as it becomes available, especially vendor delivery dates and shipment status from vendor WIPs and EDI feeds.
  • Enter shipment details into Blue Cherry or review EDI feed into Blue Cherry to compare vendor packing list details to agreed-upon PO. Communicate discrepancies with Production Manager and vendors.
  • Assist Production Manager with the preparation of Order Inquiries.
  • Together with the Production Manager, follow up with vendors regarding PO tracking. This includes identifying potential delivery risks; monitoring production status; and tracking shipment status. Update Production Manager and senior management as appropriate.
  • Understand, maintain, update, and seek continuous improvement in the Production Calendar for assigned product categories and styles and communicate this information to various internal teams.
  • Provide feedback to the design team on product needs and vendor relations.
  • Take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
