About The Position

InstroTek is looking for a Production Specialist who enjoys working with their hands, solving technical challenges, and supporting high-quality products used across the construction materials testing industry. This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. You’ll play a key role in assembling, servicing, and calibrating specialized equipment while working closely with internal teams and supporting our customers.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electronics knowledge and electronics soldering experience
  • Comfortable with drilling (hand and drill press)
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Customer-focused mindset and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and with a collaborative team
  • Electronics Troubleshooting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Mechanically Inclined (Drill,/ Hydraulic Press)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Work in environments with potential exposure to radiation, following all safety and regulatory controls
  • All areas are monitored and controlled under strict safety protocols
  • Exposure risk is minimal and well below occupational safety thresholds

  • Dynamics 365 experience
  • Experience with Gauge Calibration

Responsibilities

  • Assemble InstroTek and laboratory testing equipment
  • Perform service and repairs on nuclear density gauges and related equipment
  • Support customers through phone-based technical assistance
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Sales teams
  • Perform Full 3-Block and 5-Block Nuclear Gauge calibrations
  • Generate calibration documentation to meet customer compliance requirements
  • Follow ISO/IEC 17025:2017 guidelines
  • Use custom calibration software (CalPlus Pro)
  • Support the gauge service team as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
