About The Position

Microchip has an opening for an experienced semiconductor Fab Production Specialist in their Colorado Springs Probe/Test facility. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while paying careful attention to detail and completing one thing at a time.

  • Demonstration of ability to effectively prioritize and support multiple different demands throughout the scheduled work hours.
  • Ability to follow direction (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed work specifications for each piece of equipment.
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication.
  • Availability to work M-F shift currently with flexibility to change to compressed schedule in future when needed.
  • Good computer, math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Must be able to perform work while wearing a smock coat, hair net, face mask, and nitrile gloves for up to 7 hours per shift.
  • Ability to stand 95%, walk 90%, sit 5%.
  • Must also be able to carry and lift 6lbs.
  • Ability to move handlers into place for docking/undocking – pushing and pulling up to 85lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Microchip’s Guiding Values and Culture.
  • Learn to operate various handlers and testers on the Test floor.
  • Be able to understand verbal and written instructions to complete lots via COMETS, SPTRs, and emailed instructions.
  • You will need to communicate with the appropriate people when the equipment and processes do not meet the specified limits or are not working correctly.
