The Production Scheduling Assistant supports the Production Scheduler and operations team by coordinating daily manufacturing schedules, ensuring timely material availability, and maintaining efficient workflow. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual eager to grow within a dynamic, mission-driven manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or production planning (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data entry skills
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain flexible in a dynamic production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in solar or renewable energy manufacturing
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining daily production schedules based on forecasts, inventory levels, and lead times
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure efficient, feasible production plans
  • Monitor production progress and identify delays or workflow bottlenecks
  • Update ERP systems and production boards with real-time scheduling changes and data
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives around scheduling, workflow optimization, and capacity planning
  • Generate work orders and shift-specific documentation based on the approved production schedule
  • Attend and drive cross-department planning/scheduling related meetings
