About The Position

Our plant in Fife, WA is looking for an experienced Production Scheduler. The Production Scheduler coordinates production activities to meet product and customer requirements. They are responsible for daily and weekly planning and scheduling of all manufacturing lines. This role provides essential administrative support, maintains production systems, and ensures efficient and timely product flow. Essential functions include the following:   Plan and schedule production to minimize changeovers and efficiently utilize personnel, ensuring 100% on-time order fulfillment for all demands. Anticipate sales changes due to seasons, holidays, and trends, and obtain/communicate advanced notice of activities affecting sales. Prepare and issue written production schedules for each department and calculate production and capacity utilization for all lines. Timely communicate real and potential product shortages and late shipments to Production, Sales, Warehouse, and Transportation personnel. Maintain daily communication with the order desk, utilize daily physical inventories of finished goods for scheduling, and complete weekly purchasing orders. Modify resources in SAP, receive inventory information, and plan, initiate, and release process orders within the system. Maintain weekly downtime reports, production hold reports, departmental month-end reports, purchase order logs, and production budgets. Review daily SAP reports. Maintain knowledge of plant quality system requirements, assure products conform to GMPs, verify labor hours and payroll accuracy, and ensure department compliance with quality systems. Create and maintain reports/charts to monitor department performance, provide suggestions to improve processes and procedures, and promote a positive work environment and teamwork. Work safely, observe all safety requirements, and verify GMPs and safety standards are maintained, taking action on deficiencies. Must work various shifts and hours, including holidays and weekends, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related production role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Requires two years of experience in the following:
  • Production planning and scheduling;
  • Inventory and order management;
  • SAP and system management;
  • Performance tracking and reporting;
  • Quality and compliance assurance;
  • Process improvement.
