About The Position

As a Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring timely shipment of orders, and collaborating with various departments to improve efficiency and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Strong understanding of production flow, capacity, bottlenecks, and recovery planning.
  • Comfort working on the floor with technicians, supervisors, engineering, and shipping.
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple active jobs, especially high-value orders over 5k.
  • Proven experience managing schedules tied to OTD or OTS metrics.
  • Ability to hold teams accountable while remaining collaborative.
  • Comfortable explaining missed schedules with clear, fact-based root causes.
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and supply chain management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, product lifecycle, and product lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all orders over 5k to ensure on-time shipping, proactively addressing potential rebuilds and failed builds.
  • Work closely with project technicians to ensure timely part construction and adequate scheduling.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to facilitate smooth and on-time order production.
  • Respond promptly to issues such as equipment failures and material shortages.
  • Work with manufacturing leads to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, 5S, and lean manufacturing.
  • Resolve issues impacting on-time shipping (OTS) in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Provide detailed explanations to the commercial team when schedules are not met.
  • Manage the Production daily ship list and update the Forecast PM Team on issues and schedule concerns.
  • Maintain an on-time delivery (OTD) rate of 95% or better according to MJF metrics.
  • Enter data into the QA database.
  • Collaborate closely with MJF Supervisors, Engineering, Project Technicians, and the Shipping Department.
  • Execute work instructions as detailed on the Job Sheet.
  • Visually inspect parts for defects and reject those that do not meet customer needs, creating an appendix if necessary.
  • Ensure timely delivery of jobs to the QC and shipping department.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and promote a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
