Essential Functions / Responsibilities: Plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Uses company ERP system to schedule manufacturing of work orders through production resources and manpower in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. Provides reports to management on resource availability, production efficiency and on-time status. Runs daily production meeting Review and release new work orders to production Communicate inadequate material supply when overlooked by sales Create and monitor purchase orders for outside services Utilize ERP system to schedule manufacturing work orders Update resources on work orders as needed for changes Review in process work orders to ensure proper labor reporting Notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers Coordinate/expedite work orders to ensure schedules are achieved Review completed orders to ensure all steps are completed properly Update daily shipping list as needed Completes status reports, such as daily goals, efficiencies, resource adequacy Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Performs other duties as required Safety Sensitive Position Other duties as needed or required Work Environment: -Primary work environment is the office and the production floor. Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift. Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns. While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Occasion stooping and walking will be required. Employee may be required to lead production shop tours. Employee will have meetings in the shop requiring the wearing of personal protective equipment. Ability to assist a machine operator to understand process flow. Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns. Able to operate office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc. Able to sit for prolonged time periods plus occasion walking to stooping. Required Skills and Qualifications: Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Detail oriented and organized Able to work under stress and meet deadlines Ability to interact well with internal customers and outside service suppliers. High energy, motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision Excellent communication skills. Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English (Spanish helpful). Proficient use of computer systems and software applications. In‐depth knowledge of ERP software preferred. Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook Supervisory experience is a plus Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years production experience in a manufacturing industry Special Requirements: -Safety Sensitive: This job is designated by Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg.
