Position Overview: The role of Production Planner is to create schedules, release work orders, produce production reports and interface with Operations teams daily to drive results through the business.
Requirements
- 5+ years manufacturing experience strongly required - equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- 3+ years Production Planning / Supply Chain Management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications required – Advanced knowledge in Excel is strongly recommended – MS Project is a plus.
- Ability to drive teamwork in cross-functional disciplines with peers and Management.
- Ability to identify business risks and escalate with solutions as necessary.
- Proficiency and demonstrated ability to make independent, informed decisions.
- Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles recommended.
- This position requires a high degree of integrity and the ability to drive for world-class product.
Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains daily / weekly / monthly production schedules.
- Generates and releases ERP (Oracle) work orders daily.
- Produces daily / weekly / quarterly / annual production reports.
- Provides direction to Operations team to drive results within the applicable department.
- Interfaces with Materials team to highlight production changes and discuss material risks.
- Highlights production concerns with Management and Master Planning to collaboratively drive issue to resolution.
