Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and releasing manufacturing workorders to the production team for the manufacture of finished goods to meet delivery performance, and inventory goals.
Develop and manage the daily production schedule to ensure customer orders are manufactured within delivery commitments to customers (On Time & In Full (OTIF)).
Monitor and plan production work orders to achieve finished good inventory goals of stocked and intermediate products.
Coordinate production plans that achieve objectives relative to service levels, sales, and efficient resource/capacity planning.
Develop an understanding of the ERP/MRP, scheduling process, product demand and process capacity.
Develop understanding of the production processes and food safety requirements such as organic, Halal, and Kosher requirements and how it relates to scheduling.
Build relationships across site and within FlavorSum to ensure successful execution of production plans.
Work closely with customer care, purchasing, production, quality, shipping/receiving, and other operating departments as it relates to production planning and execution.
Interface with operations, sales and R&D as necessary to support company objectives in scaling up new products.
Lead daily and weekly communication meeting across multiple departments keeping team informed of production schedule status and scheduling expectations.
Support and maintain daily schedule attainment metrics and other reporting performance metrics as required.
Interface directly with customer care and operations team members and advise of any work order, or sales order issue.
Update work order information as necessary.
Work with supply chain team members to help resolve raw material issues.
As required, assist to resolve and develop countermeasures for unplanned situations.
Support the development of documented methods of production scheduling.
Collaborate with purchasing and support scheduling workorders for tolling partners as necessary.
Perform special projects as necessary to increase efficiency of scheduling and site operations.
Lead bi-weekly production capacity planning with supervisors and team leads
Run daily morning production planning meetings
Report daily KPI’s and attainment for production
Education: Bachelor’s degree business, operations management, supply chain or related field or years of experience.
Work Experience: 2-4+ years related experience

Must be capable of completing training in: Safety & HAZCOM, GMP Training, BioSecurity and Food Defense Training, Any other training needs that arise
APICS certification or similar supply chain training a plus.
