This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. The Scheduler/Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing integrated, logic-driven production schedules that enable on-time delivery of flight hardware. This role works directly with manufacturing teams to drive schedule realism, risk visibility, and recovery execution in support of safe, reliable flight worthy hardware. Supporting the New Glenn Payload Fairings (PLF) manufacturing/integration organization, you will report directly to the Production manager, providing embedded planning and scheduling support for PLF fabrication, integration, and delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in program or production scheduling, planning, or controls
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated master schedules (IMS) with resource loading
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Open Plan, MS Project, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain logic-driven schedules, including forward and backward pass, and perform critical path analysis
  • Experience working effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Project
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in technical work environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace research, development, and manufacturing environments
  • Experience supporting composite manufacturing operations, including Automated Fiber Placement (AFP), layup, cure, trim/drill, and integration workflows
  • Expert-level proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  • Experience supporting EVM-required contracts
  • Experience performing Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
  • Experience supporting programs through DCMA/DCAA audits, joint site surveillance, or other government reviews
  • Experience with proposal support, including translation of BOEs into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) upon contract award
  • Experience developing dashboards or analytics using Redash, Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI
  • MBA and/or Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain end-to-end production schedules for New Glenn Payload Fairings hardware
  • Create and maintain integrated, logic-driven production schedules down to the tactical shop-floor level, utilizing forward and backward pass scheduling, critical path analysis, and resource-aware sequencing
  • Translate program milestones into executable manufacturing and integration schedules
  • Lead look-ahead planning across daily, 2-week, 4-week, and long-range horizons
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, and resource conflicts; drive mitigation and recovery plans
  • Partner directly with Production leadership to support daily execution, prioritization, and escalation
  • Manage schedule impacts driven by non-conformances, rework, engineering changes, and material shortages
  • Support Tier meetings, production reviews, and leadership briefings with clear, data-driven schedule insight
  • Track and report schedule performance metrics
  • Support rate readiness, production ramp, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure schedule accuracy and data integrity within ERP / MRP and scheduling systems
