SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan production and manage production problems in an effort to minimize inventory, product in economical lot sizes, satisfy the customer and make the production process as efficient as possible.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills
• Strong computer skills are necessary to perform the job
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• 1+ year in an office setting preferred
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and release production orders so that production quantities and dates are optimized for production capacity and customer satisfaction.
• Investigate production orders that are past due or short materials, and facilitate the coordination of efforts to alleviate the problems.
• Communicate with operation supervisors, master scheduler, buyers, engineers, and other planners to meet material and production capacity requirements.
• Expedite and follow orders that are urgently needed for customer orders or other production requirements.
• Reschedule production orders using MRP when production problems arise and current due dates cannot be met.
• Handle specific projects, such as lot size review, BOM structure review or new product planning as assigned.
