About The Position

Plan and schedule work on manufacturing equipment across Prepress, Press, and Bindery/Finishing to meet customer delivery dates. Review daily production output and adjust short- and long-term forecasts. Reallocate work as needed and provide daily updates and reports to support production planning, staffing, and material planning. As a Production Scheduler, you will: Set direction and tone as a front line leader for employees involved in printing or binding printed product Make operational decisions to ensure efficient and quality processing Create, implement and audit work processes that continually evolve and improve Seek out, suggest and implement automated and other enhancements to processes and workflows Source and analyze data to address gaps or maximize opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency and productivity Ensure equipment maintenance and adequate stocks of required supplies and raw materials Lead continuous improvement processes and projects Monitor and update production records, progress and goals

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; 2–4 years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing or a related office environment, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong general administrative and manufacturing operations knowledge; familiarity with job-specific processes for advancing and completing complex duties.
  • Ability to follow company policies and applicable rules/regulations; understand how work impacts the department and company.
  • Proficient with computers and software (e.g., MS Office). Knowledge of manufacturing/production scheduling systems and software relevant to the role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain policies, methods, and procedures.
  • Very good organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple work streams.
  • Knowledge of equipment capabilities and an understanding of customer specifications; ability to interpret production planning data.
