At Forj Medical we have reimagined how we engage college students. Starting in 2020, we developed the Re-Imagined Student Experience Program (RISE Program) which offers year-round internship experiences, in a variety of disciplines to enhance your education and provide hands-on work experience to help launch your career in the medical device field. Requirements

• Pursuing a college degree in a relevant field
• Occupational health and safety
• Industrial Engineering
• Environmental Health & Safety
• Biomedical Engineering
• Other STEM-related fields or degrees with coursework in workplace safety or regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA, ISO 13485).
• Basic understanding of risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six-Sigma (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our Safety Committee to address safety concerns in the workplace.
• Ensure production is compliant with OSHA, FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulatory standards.
• Identify workstation ergonomics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of emergency preparedness.
• Assist in any other relevant tasks as assigned.
