Production Rendering Generalist All Shifts (April)
About The Position
This position is responsible for the production operation and will unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers, monitor cookers and soap and wash all areas of the plant. Load trucks, maintain the control room and complete accurate paperwork. Check lubrication on machinery, change oil and belts on gear boxes, perform equipment PM and auger inspections. Will assist maintenance when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role also involves maintaining and promoting the Tyson safety culture, receiving training as required, and performing various positions as required/assigned.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift
- Applicants must be 18 years of age
- Must have mechanical/maintenance skills listed in work history or skills section on application
- Must be able to use basic hand tools
- Must be able to perform basic mechanical and maintenance skills such has mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, and conveyor maintenance
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations
- Must have the ability to document information
- Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally
- Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader
- Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States
- Must pass an urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment
