About The Position

This position will perform task involving welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing and replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water and steam pipes, lines and systems in an industrial environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift.
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Must have 3 months of industrial maintenance work experience listed on application.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

Requires knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, plumbing and boilers.
Must be able to use basic hand tools.
Require basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet.
Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift, skid-steer loader and man-lift.
Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations.
Must have the ability to document information.
Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally.
