About The Position

The Production Planning Manager is responsible for leading the production scheduling and planning team and ensuring seamless coordination across departments to meet critical order requirements. This role plays a key part in driving operational efficiency, optimizing supply chain performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The manager will also serve as a liaison between production, procurement, plat operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of production plans.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ERP and scheduling systems (SAP, FST, etc).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to daily changes.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain complexities and production planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and scheduling tools.
  • Experience in production scheduling or planning roles.
  • Prior leadership or team management experience.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for performance reporting and data visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Production Schedulers and material planners to ensure effective batch scheduling and order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with plant departments to resolve critical issues and meet urgent order requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to align production with customer needs.
  • Monitor and report on plant performance metrics, including SIFOT (Shipped In Full On Time) losses and action plans.
  • Manage break-in batches and critical orders to minimize disruptions.
  • Champion the use of scheduling systems such as SAP and FST Tool to drive planning accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for order complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with Procurement to address raw material issues and improve supply reliability.
  • Ensure timely communication of material-related issues that may impact production plans.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to Central Planning for performance optimization.
  • Drive implementation of new planning processes and tools.
  • Ensure personal and team compliance with all company safety, quality, operational, and HR policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
