About The Position

The Manager, Production Planning is responsible for ensuring inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer service level. This includes managing a dynamic team of Production Planners as well as developing strategies to effectively monitor and approve order placement and inventory levels. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-9 years of applicable work experience in apparel planning
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong financial and analytical skills and background
  • Detail oriented with strong planning, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Creative problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of supply chain dynamics
  • Organized and ability to prioritize
  • Lead and motivate others
  • Responsive to staff needs including professionalism, respect, and consideration of others
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment
  • Be able to work under pressure within a time frame

Responsibilities

  • Train, develop and mentor a team of Production Planners.
  • Approve monthly order placement.
  • Manage, communicate and execute future order projections.
  • Develop and implement strategies with key vendors to optimize product flexibility and partnership.
  • Understand current business trends and proactively chase products to ensure high level of customer service.
  • Identify opportunities in buying strategy, propose solutions and communicate a unified direction to the team.
  • Work closely with Merchandising, Product Development and Production Planning to communicate current business trends in sales and inventory.
  • Provide input for determining ideal depth of inventory to support both Network and Warehouse depth of inventory goals.
  • Develop and execute new Programs and Reporting with the IT Team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: You`ll earn between $105,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of base salary.
  • Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.
