As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a Production Planning Manager -CRW to be part of our Supply Chain Management team in Calvert, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for managing production planning and scheduling activities for CRW in Calvert, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supply chain strategies. The role focuses on balancing supply and demand in short-term horizons, optimizing inventory, and supporting on-time delivery performance. Additionally, Outokumpu business area Americas has a commercial office in Brazil.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5 plus years of experience in production planning or scheduling within manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of production planning principles and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions to balance supply and demand effectively.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in planning tools and ERP systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with metallurgical or heavy industry processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day production planning and scheduling for CRW, CVT, ensuring timely and accurate plans.
  • Collaborate with the S&OP team to align short-term production plans with overall business and supply chain strategies.
  • Monitor and adjust planning parameters to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Validate feasibility of production plans based on mill capacity and operational constraints.
  • Act as a key contact for order fulfillment issues and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve planning conflicts.
  • Track and report on relevant KPIs such as inventory levels, delivery performance, and schedule adherence.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and contribute to implementing demand-driven planning practices.
