About The Position

This role is for a Production Planner at the Bethel Production Site in the United States. The Production Planner will be part of an engaged team, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, and will collaborate with internal experts and external partners to drive innovative solutions. Kanthal, part of the Alleima Group, is a world-leading brand in industrial heating technology and resistance material, developing innovative solutions with a strong commitment to reducing environmental impact. The core responsibility of the Production Planner is to coordinate inbound and/or outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation, to ensure a sufficient supply of goods and products. Alleima, the parent company, specializes in advanced stainless steels and special alloys, with over 160 years of experience, aiming to advance industries through materials technology by making processes more efficient, profitable, and sustainable.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of prior experience as a Production Planner
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
  • Experience with MRP and ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification

Responsibilities

  • Plan assigned production flow
  • Monitor status of and resolve problems with material flow
  • Release material and work orders to production groups per established schedules
  • Execute the preparation of production schedules and detailed machine loading to comply with delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with Production supervisor, sales, and logistics personnel to alleviate conditions that negatively affect scheduled deliveries
  • Work closely with production to find improvement areas in planning and production flow
  • Use company systems to drive overall planning and customer service improvements
  • Admin the Item Master data
