About The Position

Plan and schedule short- and long-term manufacturing processes for large industrial power electronics equipment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • 2 years of production planning experience in an assembly production environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, and an ERP system
  • Availability to travel, less than 5%, sometimes with limited notice

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Oracle
  • 5 years’ total production planning experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Plan production tasks and schedules according to client orders
  • Plan and coordinate production activities to improve runtime, in collaboration with production management
  • Develop and review production plans with managers for approval
  • Adjust assembly build plans to ensure production goals are achieved
  • Report material availability data and conditions affecting production continuity to production team as needed
  • Review material shortage data and communicate with the Senior Production Planner for resolution
  • Produce shortage reports and collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure parts are available to meet production demands
  • Review capacity demands and provide feedback to the Senior Production Planner to ensure timely deliveries
  • Monitor inventory levels to meet planned inventory goals
  • Develop and issue materials and parts requisitions
  • Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for marshalling
  • Update scheduling spreadsheets and production charts
  • Utilize ERP system to generate assembly work orders
  • Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager
  • Give manager best advice
  • Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified
  • Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager
