About The Position

The Production Planner I (Columbus) is responsible for the planning and scheduling responsibilities primarily focused on the Columbus manufacturing operations. This encompasses the day-to-day activities associated with planning of full goods and raw materials. Utilization of various Refresco planning tools such as SAP and GIB in associations with other software applications as needed such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

Requirements

  • Understand the basic MRP functions used in planning of full goods as well as raw materials.
  • Ability to compile, analyze and provide accurate reporting.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI, SAP, Analysis for Excel/ BW reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in a Supply Chain role.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with planning software
  • Experience working with Cross Functional teams (internal and external)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management a plus.
  • APICS or IBF certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes GIB and SAP/MRP to develop executable production schedules.
  • Develop long term planning and capacity plans.
  • Manages inventories to proper levels, balancing with agreed upon warehouse levels, line time availability, staffing, age of inventory to maintain proper order fill strategies.
  • Orders supporting raw materials where applicable to ensure viability of the agreed upon schedule adhering to set lead times and lot sizes.
  • Review system forecasts to appropriately plan and communicate to respective internal counterparts of potentials issues and bottle necks.
  • Properly & timely communications of issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support new projects, discontinuations, product changes, etc.
  • Effectively utilizes the change management process to ensure BOMs are maintained correctly.
  • Able to identify and solve the various quality issues that ensue in the manufacturing arena and how to handle them.
