About The Position

Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain LLC is seeking a data‑driven Material Management Planner to support purchasing, inventory control, customs coordination, and logistics. In this role, you will help build and refine material‑management processes during our plant's startup phase, then ensure materials are delivered on time, at the right cost, and with the required quality.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience working with data, forecasting, or analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑moving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in material purchasing, customs coordination, inventory management, or logistics.
  • Experience working in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP systems, including material planning and purchasing functions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting or financial principles related to budgets or inventory cost.
  • Experience supporting a production line.
  • Data‑analysis training (Excel advanced training, data‑analytics certificate, or similar programs).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for supplier issues related to delivery, supply interruptions, and schedule changes.
  • Review material requirements, demand changes, and supply‑chain status to ensure stable operations.
  • Maintain electronic data exchange processes with suppliers and support recovery plans when disruptions occur.
  • Support trial builds by issuing accurate purchase orders and maintaining material data, scheduling agreements, and inventory information within SAP.
  • Analyze material usage trends, stock levels, engineering changes, and consumption to maintain appropriate inventory.
  • Provide suppliers with requirement updates, inventory status, timing concerns, and payment or delivery issues.
  • Review SAP transactions including goods receipts, goods issues, price changes, invoices, and shipping documentation.
  • Document material movement, maintain material indexes, and complete monthly supplier verifications and claims.
  • Identify and reduce obsolete inventory while ensuring that SAP data accurately matches physical stock.
  • Manage consumption tracking, update supplier portals, and support improvement requests with the information‑technology team.
  • Process overages, shortages, and damaged items and coordinate proper handling or disposal.
  • Act as the main contact for customs representatives and duty‑related authorities.
  • Track import clearance, respond to changes in trade policy, and address audit requests or broker concerns.
  • Enter duty‑related information into SAP and manage duty budgets.
  • Oversee broker performance, bidding processes, shipping classifications, import documentation, and initiatives that minimize duty costs.
  • Track containers from the port to the plant and resolve detention or late‑return charges.
  • Support the creation of trade‑compliance programs if necessary.
  • Maintain complete and accurate import‑related records.
